Synopsis

THE DARK KNIGHT AND THE DEVIL'S DAUGHTER Jim Gordon has arrested Bruce Wayne and taken him to the GCPD for interrogation. The commissioner doesn't understand — Bruce is cut, beaten and bruised. His family's company and Batman's name are little better. And Bruce himself is facing terrorism and murder charges.   Bruce tells Gordon a truth — he had an affair and a son with Talia Al Ghul and their passion had set fire to Gotham. While Gordon talks, Bruce remembers: Talia found him in the Batcave and passed him a sabre as a challenge; kissing before combat. Her lips were coated with deadly nightshade — more for nostalgia than malice as she knew that Batman had already taken the antidote.   Talia sets the stakes — if she doesn't return, Leviathan will dismantle its operation in Gotham. And they fight. They battle until their sabers finally shatter, embedding fragments in each combatant and those fragments have been poisoned. Batman has ten minutes to live, but will not beg Talia for the antidote. As Talia gloats, Jason - in the guise of Wingman — races into the Batcave and proposes a trade of the Oroboro trigger for Batman's antidote.   They trade, but the box is empty and Leviathan is defeated. Batman takes the antidote and rises again, while Talia continues to gloat, until Kathy appears in the cave, and shoots Talia in the head. Spyral pulls her back out, after she warns Bruce not to look for her, since she doesn't exist.   After all that's happened, Bruce tells Commissioner Gordon that Batman might just be dead, though Bruce will rebuild his life. Word from high comes down that the investigation into Bruce Wayne is closed — he is free to go, but Gordon hopes that Batman may still return.   At Wayne Manor, someone has used Bruce's absence as an opportunity to steal the bodies of Talia and Damian. Bruce puts back on the mantle of the Bat.   Elsewhere, Ra's Al Ghul schemes. He is out of Restoration Pits, and his technicians are harvesting Lord Death Man's Lazarus Blood to restore Talia and Damian. In the next lab, the Sons of Batman gestate in their nursery. And Ra's swears revenge against the Batman...
